Retaliation

When you retaliate, you are giving up self - you are only responding to your environment, and not acting independently.

well, I really need to sleep soon, so this will be brief and disjointed, perhaps.

on your thoughts of retaliation and reaction vs creation and self-motivated action...

I do wonder how to differentiate the two.

It's treacherously easy to assert that all actions are a reaction. I think that would miss some underlying point.

I mean, what we are looking for is to act having considered more, to act in response to a more whole, lasting desire? To better direct responses based on these?

I would also say something about root desires, but... not sure where I'd be going.

How would you define the difference between reaction and response?

Hmmm... I'm not sure I like blogger as a mechanism for discussion.

Anyway-- hope you are well. And seriously, if I get any ideas on how to make you rich, I'll send them your way.

: )

On consideration, I think I'll reserve "comments" for other places (facebook, email) and not here anymore, unless you want them here. Reasons--

1. too hard to tell if you write back

(well, this might just be because I commented using an account under Sugi's name)

2. the feel of this page is artistic and meditative-- I feel like I'm scratching notes on the Mona Lisa.
